Getting Started with LoanX
This guide will walk you through installing LoanX, setting up your account, and getting familiar with the app's basic functionality.
System Requirements
Before installing LoanX, ensure your device meets these requirements:
- iOS Version: iOS 18.0 or later
- Device: iPhone 10 or newer (iPhone 12+ recommended for optimal AI voice performance)
- Storage: At least 100MB of free space
- Network: Stable internet connection (Wi-Fi or cellular)
- Permissions: Microphone access (for voice assistant), Contacts access (optional)
Installation
Installing from the App Store
- Open the App Store on your iPhone
- Search for "LoanX" or navigate to the provided app link
- Tap Get or Install
- Wait for the download and installation to complete
- Find the LoanX app icon on your home screen
Enterprise/TestFlight Installation
If you're installing through TestFlight or enterprise distribution:
- Install the app using the provided link or QR code
- Trust the enterprise developer certificate if prompted:
- Go to Settings > General > VPN & Device Management
- Select the enterprise app certificate
- Tap Trust
First Launch Setup
Initial App Launch
- Tap the LoanX icon to launch the app
- The app will display the LoanX animated logo during startup
- You'll see the login screen once the animation completes

Grant Permissions
LoanX may request several permissions during setup:
Required Permissions
- Network Access: Automatically granted for app functionality
Optional Permissions

Microphone Access:
- Required for AI voice assistant features
- Tap Allow when prompted
- You can enable this later in iOS Settings if initially declined

Contacts Access:
- Enables creating loans from your contact list
- Tap Allow when prompted
- Not required for basic app functionality
Environment Selection
If you have access to multiple environments:
- The app may prompt you to select an environment
- Choose between:
- Production: Live system environment
- Staging: Testing/development environment
- Your administrator will provide guidance on which to select
Account Setup
Sign In Options
LoanX supports multiple authentication methods through Clerk:
Social Sign-In (Recommended)
- Google: Sign in with your Google account
- Microsoft: Sign in with your Microsoft/Office 365 account
- Apple ID: Sign in with Apple (iOS devices)
Email Authentication
- Sign in using your email address
- Receive verification codes via email
- Enter the 6-digit code when prompted
Choosing Your Sign-In Method
- On the login screen, select your preferred sign-in method
- Follow the prompts to authenticate
- Grant necessary permissions when requested
- Wait for authentication to complete

Initial Configuration
Organization Setup
After successful authentication:
- The app will attempt to detect your organization automatically
- If multiple organizations are available, select the appropriate one
- Wait for organization configuration to complete
Profile Information
Your profile information is automatically populated from your authentication provider:
- Name and email from your sign-in account
- Organization details from your administrator
- Default preferences and settings
First Steps in LoanX
Understanding the Interface
After successful login, you'll see one of these interfaces based on your configuration:
Loan Selection Screen
- Purpose: Select or create a loan to work with
- Actions: Browse existing loans or create new ones
- Navigation: Tap a loan to select it
AI Voice Assistant (Voice-First Mode)
- Purpose: Start with AI-powered loan assistance
- Interface: Chat-style interface with voice interaction
- Features: Ask questions, get calculations, access rates
Main Dashboard (Hybrid Mode)
- Purpose: Full-featured loan management interface
- Navigation: Tab bar with multiple sections
- Features: Complete loan workflow management
Creating Your First Loan
If starting with loan management:
- From Loan Selection: Tap "Create Loan" button
- Choose Input Method:
- Select from contacts (if permissions granted)
- Enter manually
- Enter Required Information:
- Borrower name
- Phone number
- Additional details as needed
- Save: Tap to create the loan
Using the Voice Assistant
If starting with AI features:
- Tap the microphone icon to start voice interaction
- Say "Hello" or ask a mortgage-related question
- Listen to the AI response
- Continue the conversation naturally
